Talk recorded at St. Mary’s Church, Broughton Gifford on Sunday 3 July 2022:
The talk entitled “Be Rich Towards God” was linked to the following Bible readings on Sunday 3 October 2021:
2 Corinthians 9: 6 – end and Luke 12: 16 – 30.
The readings at the Parish Communion service at St. Mary’s Church Broughton Gifford for 18 July and linked to this talk were as follows: Ephesians 2: 11 – end and Mark 6: 30 – 34 & 53 – end.
It is good to be back in church for services, though with social distancing and work having started on the interior of the church, the space that is left to us is severely limited. Our congregation has held up surprisingly well and whilst we have to say, rather than sing, the hymns, we did have music at the beginning and end of the service.
The works so far is largely in the north-west corner of the church, where the font will be. This will mean that people will be able to see the font from the pews, rather than having to turn round and crowd at the back of the church. It also means that we have two Victorian pine pews seeking a welcoming home!
St Mary’s church has re-opened for private prayer twice a week. From 10am on Sundays and 11am on Wednesdays. There are some restriction s in place to ensure everyone is kept safe, and it is a delight to be able to offer a quiet space for prayer again.
To keep everyone safe please abide by the following guidelines:
If you have a high temperature or any symptoms, we kindly ask that you do not come in to church
Please use the hand sanitiser as you enter the church and again when you leave
Please maintain a physical distance of 2 metres between you and other people
There are no prayer books or bibles available in the church at this time so please bring your own
